Farming accolade

MEMBERS of the Maesmawr Group have been recognised for their excellent practices and contribution to farming.
The Owen family – Huw, Sioned and Dafydd – of Redhouse Farm, Aberhafesp were presented with the trophy for Overall points winners by the Honorary President of the association, Keith Davies at the Montgomeryshire Agricultural Association annual awards ceremony in December 2022. More than 170 people attended the event in Llanfair Caereinion and awards were presented to winners of 25 different classes.
Huw and Sioned are Secretaries of the Maesmawr Group, a farmer-led collaborative group of organisations working to protect nature and the environment in the Upper Severn Catchment stretching over 15 miles from Dolfor in the east to Clywedog and the Hafren Forest in the west.
